Lingua Ignota

Avantgarde – The term LINGUA IGNOTA (Latin for “unknown language”) initially referred to a constructed language from the 12th century. Created by the abbess Hildegard von Bingen, it comprised a vocabulary of 900 words. The gloomy sound and exquisite voice explosions of US-born avant-garde and classically trained musician Kristin Hayter, aka LINGUA IGNOTA, leads us into the depths of her dark soul. Following her first and still industrial-influenced EPs, the latest album “Caligula” marks a significant step forward. We are delighted to welcome LINGUA IGNOTA to Full Force for the first time and to enjoy this exceptional talent with you!
