Progressive-Death-/-Thrash-Metal – The Swedes from Umeå celebrated their 30th anniversary as a band in 2017. They’ve also been flying in the face of convention since they got their start, which makes it difficult to classify the band musically. Is it pure metal? Or could it better be described as death metal, trash metal, or progressive metal? It’s a question we couldn’t answer either, and that’s not a bad thing. What we do know is that Meshuggah has created an incredibly brilliant, unique mix of so many genre influences that we can’t or don’t want to describe it. Now the band is back after 8 years of Full Force abstinence, ready to join as a co-headliner.

Don’t think you can wait until summer? Look no further than their latest album “The Violent Sleep Of Reason,” which will surely help pass the time.
